Mahavir Arogya Sansthan is a charitable, Philanthropic, state-of-the-art, organization sponsored and controlled by Mahavir Temple Trust, Patna.  The foundation stone of the Sansthan was laid down by Respected SHANKARCHARYA OF Dwarika Peeth Swami Sawrupanand jee on 7/11/1988. It started functioning from 1/1/1989 in a rented building at Kidwaipuri, Patna. Subsequently it shifted to Kankarbagh area – the largest colony of Patna with population of poor and middle class families.  Initially the Sansthan started functioning as an OPD hospital till December 05 when on pressing demand and increasing  number of patients the Temple Trust purchased its own land and building (old nursing home of Late Dr.S.N.Upadhyay) and took on lease the adjacent building (old Hotel Jayasarmin) to start all superspeciality services and its own 60 bedded indoor hospital.

The aim of the Sansthan:

A vision of Achary Kishore Kunal and the first venture of Mahavir Temple Trust Mahavir Arogya Sansthan was established with objective of providing the best possible medicare with ultramodern techniques in all the specialties and superspecialities to the poor and middle class families at affordable cost.  Senior citizens, disabled and about 3500 family of urban slum dwellers at Patna are registered for almost free medical advise. With the increasing cost of medicines, investigation charges and superspeciality services it was becoming extremely unaffordable for the poor and middle class family to avail these facilities.
