Bank coupons are released for collecting fund for the construction of Viraat Ramayan Mandir
Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, a sitting Judge of the Supreme Court of India, released Bank coupons for collecting fund for the construction of Viraat Ramayan Mandir at Janaki Nagar near Kesariya.
These coupons have been printed by Mahavir Mandir Trust in collaboration with the Allahabad Bank. These coupons have been printed in the security press of the Allahabad Bank on water mark paper with hallmark which can be visible only in ultraviolet rays. Thus it is next to impossible to imitate these coupons. These coupons are serially marked and kept in the safe custody of Allahabad Bank.
Devotees have been requested to donate the construction cost of at least 1 sq.ft. in Viraat Ramayan Mandir. One sq.ft. will cost Rs. 7,707.00.
The coupons have been printed in three denominations.
- The first one is for the construction of 1sq.ft. Devotees contributing 1sq.ft. will be provided a certificate with the photograph of the Viraat Ramayan Mandir.
- The second denomination is for 15sq.ft. which will cost 1,15,605.00. Devotees contributing 15sq.ft. will be entitled to engrave the names of their parents along with their own names on the dharmastambh to be erected in the vicinity of the temple.
- The third denomination is for the construction of 100sq.ft. or more space. Their names will be prominently engraved in proportion to their contribution.
Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra lauded the efforts of Mahavir Mandir Trust for constructing the largest temple in the world and congratulated the Trust for evolving a fool proof system of issuing coupons for collecting funds for construction of the largest temple in the world. She further said that it would insure total transparency in monetary transactions and appealed devotees to support the noble cause.
The Secretary of the Mahavir Mandir Trust informed the audience that the construction of work would start on 23rd February, 2014.
The temple will have a length of 2800 ft., width of 1400 ft. and height of 405 ft. Its grandeur may be gauged from the very fact that at a height of 72 ft. some 20,000 persons will worship Rama, Sita and Hanuman together. Any devotee will have the darshan of Ramji from entrance gate which will be 2000 ft. distant from the deity.
The construction cost will be more than 300 crores which will be largely collected through the sale of these coupons which will be available in all major branches of Allahabad Bank, Mahavir Mandir and at the Viraat Ramayan Mandir site.
A number of eminent persons including Justice S.N. Jha, Justice P. K. Sinha, Justice Rajendra Prasad, Jiyalal Arya, Jagannath Mishra, the DGM of Allahabad Bank and all Directors of the hospitals run by the temple trust were present on the occasion. As per his desire the first coupon was released in the name of Swaroopanand Saraswati, the Jagadguru Shankaracharya of Dwarka Peeth.
